Start your morning at Sangeh Monkey Forest. Walk under tall nutmeg trees while hundreds of monkeys jump from branch to branch. Some sit quietly, others look straight at you like they know something you don’t. The place feels old, almost sacred, like time slows down there.
Next, head to Mas and Celuk Villages. These are not tourist stops, they’re real working art villages. You’ll see wood carvers shaping gods from logs, silversmiths melting metal and making rings that shine like fire. You can talk, watch, or shop a piece to take home.
Tasty Balinese food in a relaxed setting. No crowds, just good cooking and good views.
Then it’s time for coffee. Stop at Celuk Coffee & Swing. Try a few local blends, from smooth to strong. You’ll taste the roast, the smoke, the earth. After that, take the swing. Over the river, high enough to make your stomach flip a little.
End your day at Seraca Budaya with the Kecak and Fire Dance. As the sky turns dark, the sound of chanting fills the air. The dancers move around fire like spirits in motion. The heat, the rhythm, the energy, it’s wild and beautiful.

We had an amazing experience in Ubud with Ketut as our guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and from the very beginning he made us feel welcome and comfortable. What really stood out was how generously he shared his culture with us. He explained the traditions, rituals and daily life in such an engaging way that we felt like we were getting a genuine insight, not just a tourist overview. It was a very special cultural day, and his passion and pride for his heritage made it even more meaningful. Thank you, Ketut, for such a memorable and heartfelt introduction to Balinese culture. We would highly recommend him to anyone visiting Ubud.
Entire journey on the river cruise was amazing. This is the first such cruise dinner for my family. We loved everything, right from table organising, food, music and the hospitality. Kudos to the entire team !
