Bali Hidden Waterfalls Journey: Tukad Cepung, Tibumana & Tegenungan in One Day

You know how some days just feel right from the start? This is one of those. No rush, no tight schedule, just a slow day out in nature, chasing a bit of quiet.

We’ll start the morning heading up to Tukad Cepung Waterfall. The drive there already feels like a trip, rice fields, jungle, tiny roads that twist through villages. When you reach the trail, it’s a short walk down. There’s a bit of water to wade through, but that’s part of the fun. Then suddenly you’re standing inside this cave, and sunlight drops through the top like a spotlight. The water glows when it hits the light. It’s quiet. Just the sound of falling water and your own breath.

After that, we’ll make our way to Tibumana Waterfall. The road is lined with coconut trees, and the walk in feels calm. It’s an easy trail, soft under your feet, and then the sound of water gets louder. Tibumana is simple but beautiful, a clean curtain of water falling into a clear pool. If you want to swim, this is the place. The water’s cool, refreshing, and you probably won’t want to get out right away.

Last stop is Tegenungan Waterfall. It’s different here, more open, more alive. You’ll hear the water before you see it. It’s powerful, loud, full of energy. You can walk down to the base, feel the mist on your skin, or just watch from above. There’s a small café nearby where you can grab a cold coconut or sit for a while and let the day sink in.

By the time we drive back, you’ll be tired in the best way. A little sun, a little water, a lot of fresh air. It’s a simple day, but that’s what makes it good.
